Helping physicians decide where to place stents
Abbott Laboratories hired me to help design features and wireframes for their new coronary imaging software to show physicians high-quality live footage of their patient’s heart, increasing the accuracy of the stent placement process.
Over the course of six months, I worked with the rest of the R&D team in the Vascular division to create and test several design solutions for both the software’s core functions, as well as the additional features that increase the usability and customization options for physicians across the globe. I closely collaborated with the software development, industrial design, and product testing teams to define potential usability challenges and design solutions for them based on their needs. This highly iterative process defined long-term challenges to the teams and served as the foundation of the work I created for them.
