Form, Color, and Composition – Process Book

Highlighting the technical graphic design skills developed in a semester-long course

This process book from my Graphic Design I class contains several studies on color, form, and typography as well as iterations of final projects. The book starts out with a series of exercises breaking down the various ways to represent a designed object. It continues with an analysis of color and the different ways it can be interpreted based on the other visual elements in the same space. The applications of these exercises can be seen in the final project: a redesign of a movie poster. Finally, the book contains a visual analysis of Raise the Red Lantern and Cipe Pineles’ work.
